Just about everywhere I look lately, another spider is weaving a web. While taking a picture of a flower, I looked up and saw this web. What drew my attention wasn’t the persistence required to build web after web each time something – wind, deer, or human – destroys the previous web. It wasn’t the skill required to erect these large webs. While these facets of web weaving amaze me, what really drew my attention was the play of light upon the web. When I first looked up, with the web unseen, light was hanging in the woods. And, I was enchanted.
